The vast majority of cheap curtain tracks offered online are imported from China. Here is why that matters.

You will have to cut it yourself

Bulk imported tracks cannot be made to your exact measurements. You will need to disassemble the track when it arrives, cut it down to size, and put it back together. With the Autoglide 5100, we cut it to your exact length before it leaves our workshop.

Cheap parts break

Imported tracks are made down to a price, using cheap parts with no track record of reliability. When problems develop, it is normally impossible to find replacement parts. If the supplier responds at all, they will most likely replace the whole track with the same model, requiring you to cut it down again. It will be made of the same parts and will be just as likely to break.

Poor design causes daily frustration

Cheap design can make tracks harder to fit, noisier, slower, and more likely to fail. Intermittent controls, motors still running when they should have stopped, unpredictable movement and becoming generally unresponsive are problems we hear regularly from customers who come to us looking for a replacement.
