Silent Gliss Autoglide 5090 - Discontinued
When Silent Gliss purchased the name Autoglide off Swish in 2007, they continued and improved a long line of electric curtain openers.
Silent Gliss initially named their products the Autoglide 5070 and Autoglide 5080, each with different controls, before introducing the Autoglide 5090 range where the available controls were indicated with a proceeding letter, such as Autoglide 5090 IR (for Infra-Red remote control), 5090 TL, which stood for Timer / Light sensor, and the 5090 TC, for Total Control, which came with all of the controllers.
One popular controller the Autoglide 5090 was available with was a light sensor, which opened the curtains when it got light, and closed them when it got dark.
It remains unclear why Silent Gliss removed this option. They claim it wasn't very popular, yet was one of the best selling models on our website. We still get people to this day asking if they can get the Autoglide 5100 with a light sensor. At the moment, the answer is unfortunately, "no".
The Autoglide 5090 was a robust system, with the majority still operating fine well past their 5 year warranty.
Silent Gliss really does build products to last.
