Fourteen motorised blinds on a clifftop overlooking the Atlantic
Built on a cliff edge at Sheephaven Bay in County Donegal, this home has one of the most dramatic settings of any Silent Gliss installation. A distinctive gull-wing roof frames panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean through 14 large windows — some with drops of up to 4.5 metres.
Every window is fitted with a Silent Gliss 4960 motorised roller blind in Multiscreen 5% fabric, mounted on guide rails for a clean, precise finish even in the coastal wind. A 15-channel remote control operates each blind individually, in groups, or all at once — and the intermediate stop feature lets the blinds pause at any position, following the contour of that dramatic roofline.
The Multiscreen fabric blocks glare while preserving the sea views, and is tough enough to handle the intense UV exposure from south-facing glass.
The 4960 is a mains-powered system that needs an electrician to wire in. If you’d rather avoid wiring, the Silent Gliss 4955 battery roller blind offers the same quality and quiet operation — just charge and go.
