Electric roller blinds at a glance

Electric roller blinds give you precise control over light and privacy without leaving your seat. All three options below are made by Silent Gliss and come with our UK-wide free delivery, expert phone support, and up to 30% off RRP.

Our most popular choice is the Vision roller blind, which uses alternating sheer and opaque fabric stripes so you can fine-tune light and privacy by simply adjusting the alignment. It comes hand-drawn on a chain or with a rechargeable battery motor, and it fits straight onto the window for a simple DIY install.

If you would rather have a classic single-fabric roller, the choice is battery versus mains power. The Silent Gliss 4955 runs on 8 supplied AA lithium batteries that last up to 3 years, perfect if you want a quick DIY fit with no wiring. The Silent Gliss 4960 is hardwired to mains power, making it the better option for large blinds, high-use rooms, or smart-home setups where you never want to think about swapping batteries. Both offer blackout, dim-out, and sheer fabric options.

Dim-out

Reduces light significantly while maintaining a soft glow. Great for living rooms and offices. Protects furniture from UV.

Roller Blinds Buying Guide

Battery vs mains, fabric types, measuring tips and everything else you need to know.

About electric roller blinds
Electric roller blinds offer the ultimate convenience for controlling light and privacy in your home. With just the touch of a button or voice command, you can adjust your blinds without leaving your seat. Our range includes both battery-powered options for easy installation without wiring, and mains-powered options for larger blinds or frequent use.
Battery vs mains-powered blinds
Battery-powered blinds (4955) are the easier option. No wiring, no electrician. Just screw the brackets in and clip the blind on. They run on 8 AA lithium batteries (supplied) which last up to 3 years depending on use. Mains-powered blinds (4960) never run out of power and are better for larger blinds or daily heavy use, but require an electrician to install the wiring.
What are vision (day & night) blinds?
Vision blinds use a clever dual-layer fabric with alternating sheer and opaque stripes. By adjusting the alignment of the two layers, you can go from full light to full privacy — or anywhere in between. They offer a contemporary, striking look that works beautifully in modern interiors.
