This Silent Gliss 5600 electric curtain track is easy to fit and designed especially for commercial and top-end residential applications. You can design and buy your track on this page.

It is available in much longer lengths than the Autoglide 5100 and has increased motor power, supports larger and heavier curtains and has a variety of remote-control options, including a system allowing operation through smartphone, tablet and MS Windows apps or it can be hard-wired to a wall switch.

The 5600 is to be installed by a professional and wired into the mains by an electrician.

The 5600 can be bent at time of manufacture to accommodate most situations.

This track works with your existing curtains. You're not locked into a particular fabric or style. If you'd like premium Silent Gliss Wave curtains, you can add them when configuring your order.

Not just a convenience

Electric curtains are also a practical solution for anyone who finds opening and closing curtains difficult, whether due to arthritis, reduced mobility, or hard-to-reach windows. The 5600's home automation capability means curtains can be controlled from a phone, tablet, or set on a daily schedule without any physical interaction at all.

Control Options

The 5600 offers the widest range of control options in the Silent Gliss range:

Physical controls

• Hard-wired wall switch — wired directly into the mains, usually on new-builds to save channelling out walls.
• Wireless wall switch — available in 1-channel (single track) or 6-channel (control up to 6 tracks independently).
• Handheld remote — available in 1-channel or 6-channel versions.
• Touch and Go — a small tug on the curtain fabric starts the motor to fully open or close. Works on tracks up to 12m.

Home automation (Move 4.0 Server)

The 5600 is the only Silent Gliss track that supports home automation. The optional Move 4.0 Server connects to the track's built-in radio receiver and adds:

• App control — operate curtains from your phone or tablet (iOS and Android) from anywhere.
• Scheduling — set curtains to open and close automatically at specific times, daily or weekly.
• Scenes and groups — control multiple tracks together or create scenes (e.g. "Good morning" opens all curtains).
• Integration — the Move Server can connect to third-party home automation systems. Contact us for specifics on compatibility with your setup.

The Move 4.0 Server is available as an add-on accessory. It connects to your home WiFi and communicates with the track wirelessly. See the controls section in the configurator above for pricing, or get in touch if you have questions about compatibility with your home automation system.

For maximum flexibility, the 5600 comes with a built-in radio receiver that works with all of the above controls. You can mix and match, and add more controls later — everything is compatible.

What's in the box

Everything you need to motorise your existing curtains: track, motor (with built-in radio receiver), fixing brackets, your chosen controllers, and full fitting instructions.

Works with your own curtains. This track is designed to work with whatever curtains you already have, or any curtains you choose from any supplier. You're not locked into a particular fabric, range or style. Standard curtain hooks fit the gliders. If you'd like premium Silent Gliss Wave curtains as an upgrade, you can add them when configuring your order.

You'll also need: standard wall fixings (rawl plugs and screws) and a qualified electrician to wire the track into the mains.

N.B. Any of the controls can be purchased separately in the future and added to your system. It's all compatible, you're not limiting yourself by the choices you make now.

Professional Installation

The Silent Gliss 5600 is to be installed by a professional and wired into the mains power by an electrician.

The track is provided fully assembled and made to your exact measurements. It just needs fitting using the brackets provided. You will need to get fixings to attach the brackets to your wall or ceiling.

Installation Notes

Face the higher edge of the profile into the room side.

The track (Silent Gliss code 10850) can be fixed to the ceiling:

• by screwing through the track directly into the ceiling without any mounting brackets.
• by fitting mounting brackets (Silent Gliss code 3001) and then attaching the track to the brackets. We can supply the 3001 brackets separately.

Or the track can be fixed to a wall:

• using L-brackets (Silent Gliss code 3134-39), along with fixing brackets (Silent Gliss code 3041). The L-brackets can be covered with bracket covers (Silent Gliss code 3133).

Curtain Hanging Notes

Please note that curtains should be hung so the top of the curtains are below the profile of the track. If the tops of the curtains protrude up and cover the track, it may impede the motor and affect the operation of the system and possibly affect the warranty.

Bay Windows & Bending

If you have a shaped window, such as a bay window, the track can be bent for you during manufacture.

The 5600 can have as many bends as required.

Simply select the relevant "bending" option when designing your track. We will be in touch to ask you to take a few specific measurements in order to make sure your track fits perfectly.

Wave Curtains

You can now order Silent Gliss Wave Curtains made to perfectly fit your 5600 track.

Wave technology makes your curtains always hang in a professional-looking, uniform wave. It's the secret of high-end installations and is now available to you.

To order curtains, select the option "Yes, I'd like curtains too", and all the configurable options will appear for you to select.

Silent Gliss Fabrics

In our track designer, you have the option to purchase high quality Silent Gliss curtains along with your electric curtain track.

The fabrics we offer for curtains are Silent Gliss' own, specifically designed and refined for this application.

We currently offer fabrics from their two most popular groups, Colorama 1 and Colorama 2, which have both vivid and more toned-down colours to suit any application.

• Colorama 1 is slightly thinner and therefore more transparent than Colorama 2.
• Colorama 2 is thicker and lets less light through.

Here are a few examples of Colorama 1 vs Colorama 2 fabrics to show the difference in transparency, but don't forget these are without any form of curtain lining, which stops more light and adds privacy.

Our Silent Gliss 5600 electric curtain tracks are made to measure and usually delivered within 5 to 7 working days from your order being placed.

If you order curtains too, these can take up to 20 days and everything will be delivered together.

We will always let you know in advance when your track will be arriving.

5 Year Warranty

All our Silent Gliss products come with a 5 year warranty as standard and the 5600 is no exception.
